Who we are

Morlo stands for high quality wine and champagne capsules throughout Europe. And yet, in its initial years, the company Morlo produced totally different products.

In 1947, Nikolaus Morlo founded a plant for manufacturing punched and stamped parts in the former soap factory of the company Kahn. The plant was located on a small lake in the town of St Ingbert and here he produced innovative mechanics for ring binders and roller shutter chains. 

From 1950, different bottle closures were produced and production of
shrink capsules and champagne capsules commenced.

In 1959, the company relocated to today’s business premises in St. Ingbert-Rohrbach.
